Notification Priority
Purpose
Allow senders to chose the priority of the notification email.
Details
By default, notification emails have no priority set, which is interpreted as normal priority by email clients. If the feature is enabled, senders are allowed to select the priority of sent to recipients of a transfer.
The chosen priority is reflected in the X-Priority
header and evaluated by most email clients.
The priority is only used in emails regarding the transfer, including upload confirmation, etc. It has no other effect on processing, etc. The transfer is not presented differently in the web portal.
Configuration
- Scope: adminunit-wide configuration of the feature, effective immediately for new transfers; users chose the priority for each transfer
- Privileges: administrator privileges required to configure, user privileges required to use
- Default: disabled
Administrators can configure this feature in the (new) admin interface, section Server Settings, subsection Miscellaneous.
